FX3U CPU's are fully compatible with both the existing FX2N expansion modules and the new FX3U ADP expansion modules. This makes them an ideal replacement for FX2N PLC's. The FX3U is the most powerful FX PLC available, offering exceptional program execution speed and the ability to accept up to eight special function modules. It provides unparalleled flexibility and control power for all your factory automation needs. In addition to the features mentioned above, the FX3U also offers a choice of five I/O sizes ranging from 16 to 80 I/O base units. It can be expanded up to 256 Local I/O or 384 combined I/O. With a high processing speed of 0.065μs/basic instruction, it supports 249 applied instructions, 7680 auxiliary relays, 512 timers, 251 counters, and 40768 data registers. The FX3U also boasts a 64K steps battery-backed RAM memory and a 24Vdc 600mA output for sensors, with 400mA for 16 and 32 I/O. Furthermore, it ensures 100% backward compatibility with older FX units
